Junior Course Dates and Prices 2024

Torquay has been voted the number one seaside resort and number three place to visit in the whole of the UK after London and Edinburgh.

All Prices are FULLY INCLUSIVE: Accommodation, Lessons and a full Activity Programme

Extra week between 03.07. and 27.08. (if agreed in advance of Course) – £300 per week

All Prices are based on Own Transport with a Meet and Greet on arrival in Torquay by a Representative of EFA Language School. We can arrange a Meet and Greet at Exeter and Heathrow Airport with transportation to Torquay. Please see ‘How to arrive in Torquay’ below or ‘Find Us‘ for more details.

The E.F.A. Language Courses include as standard:

• 15 hours tuition per week (in busy periods maybe am or pm)
• Circa 15 students per class – normally 12
• Host Family accommodation which includes bed, breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal
• Excursions. One full day excursion each complete week normally to the Dartmoor National Park and the City of Plymouth and one half day excursion each week normally a boat trip to Brixham and a visit to the City of Exeter.
• Four afternoon activities per week such as: tennis, bowling, crazy golf, swimming or a visit to Cockington to experience an English Cream Tea.
• Two evening activities per week for example: disco, laser games in teams, Fish and Chip Supper or Pizza Meal evening

The E.F.A. Language Intensive Courses include:

• Lessons Monday to Friday 09.00 to 12.30 and 11.00 to 12.30 : 13,30 to 15.00 and 15.15 to 17.45.
• Host family accommodation with breakfast, packed lunch and an evening meal
• One full day excursion each complete week normally to the Dartmoor National park and the City of Plymouth
• Two evening activities per week for example: disco, laser games in teams, Fish and Chip Supper or Pizza Meal evening
• Minimum age 14 for this course

Optional Activities are available and can be booked on the first day at the Teaching Centre. They include (subject to numbers)

• For the creative students a visit to China Blue to decorate your own piece of pottery. This includes delivery of your chosen piece back to the school after it has been fired in the oven. £7

HOW TO ARRIVE IN TORQUAY ON THE ENGLISH RIVIERA

The nearest international airports are Bristol and Exeter.

BRISTOL AIRPORT: 143 km. By Train connecting bus to Bristol Temple Meads train station then a train to Torquay. Return fare from £45 depending on travel and booking date. By Taxi will cost £95 each way for up to three passengers sharing the cost.

EXETER AIRPORT: 40km. By Train connecting bus at airport to Exeter Bus Station then return bus ticket to Torquay. Total from £25 depending on travel and booking date. By Taxi will cost £35 each way for up to three passengers sharing the cost.

STANSTED AIRPORT: 417km. National Express Coach where you change at Heathrow Airport and then direct to Torquay. Cost depends on date of travel and date of purchase £65 to £85. By Taxi will cost £255 each way for up to three passengers sharing the cost.

HEATHROW AIRPORT: 322 km. National Express Coach direct to Torquay. Cost depends on date of travel and date of purchase £55 to £75. By Taxi will cost £195 each way for up to three passengers sharing the cost.

GATWICK AIRPORT: 326km. National Express with a change at Heathrow Airport depending on date of travel and date of purchase £55 to £75. By Taxi will cost £215 each way for up to three passengers sharing the cost.
