Terms and Conditions

E.F.A. Sprachreisen Ltd., herein known as »E.F.A.«, 12 Barn
Owl Close, Badgers Rise, Torquay, TQ2 7TN, Email: info@efa-language.com,
is acting as Supplier and/or Agent for the various suppliers of services
and accommodations contained in this website. Cheques, Money Orders,
and cash are accepted as forms of payment. Reservations can be made
up to six month prior to departure, subject to availability.
RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS:
Whenever terms pertaining to individual suppliers are omitted, the following
conditions apply:
1 - All reservations are subject to a nonrefundable £40 handling
fee.
2 - Arrangements 4 days or longer require a 25% deposit upon booking
and full payment 8 weeks prior to departure.
3 - All other arrangements require full payment immediately. Full payment
is required before reservations are considered complete and documents
can be issued by E.F.A.
CHANGE FEES:
An administrative fee of minimum £40 per transaction will be charged
for any alterations or revisions to original reservations, participating
hotels, airlines, or suppliers, once E.F.A. has issued written confirmation
or invoice. For changes once tickets/vouchers have been issued, a minimum
£60 per transaction fee, plus charges incurred from participating
hotels, airlines, ferry operators, or suppliers will apply.
DOCUMENTS:
Every effort is made to have all school and travel documents in the
hands of the client before departure from his or her country of residence.
In some cases, circumstances dictate that documents be issued and await
the client at a hotel or terminal abroad. In cases of last minute bookings,
or where special mail service is requested, the client must pay the
cost of this special mail service. For bookings made 30 days or less
before departure, this charge will be added to ensure safe delivery.
AIR TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS:
When issued by E.F.A., air travel, unless otherwise specified, is based
on coach class scheduled IATAN carrier service. All fares are subject
to change without notice and are nonrefundable. Reservations and ticket
usage are restricted. Consequently, reissues, exchanges, rerouting and
refunds may not be possible, or the client may be assessed additional
charges by the airline.
NOT INCLUDED:
International departure taxes and fees, foreign departure taxes and
Passenger Facility Charges. Gratuities, except as noted, items of a
personal nature, baggage handling and items not specified as being included.
HOTELS:
Every effort will be made to reserve the hotels, B&B's or host families
listed on this website. Where, for whatever reason, accommodations are
not available, similar type accommodations will be reserved.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS:
Cancellation penalties apply based on the date of receipt of the written
notice of cancellation:
44-30 days prior-30%, 29-20 days prior-40%, 19-10 days prior-80%, 9-0
days prior-100%. Cancellations fees by airlines, coach & ferry operators
etc. will be charged extra. E.F.A. strongly recommends that clients
purchase Cancellation Fee Waiver insurance. No refunds for no-shows.
No refunds for unused portions of air, rail tickets and tourist passes.
Seat reservation payments on trains when required are nonrefundable.
Refunds can never be issued without the unused documents. E.F.A. accepts
no liability for lost tickets, nor are they replaceable. Documents issued
by E.F.A. can only be processed for refund through E.F.A.
RESPONSIBILITY:
E.F.A. shall be responsible to the client for supplying the services
set forth in this website, except to the extent such services cannot
be supplied due to cause beyond the control of E.F.A. in which case
E.F.A. will use its best efforts to supply comparable services. E.F.A.
shall have no liability to the client for the quality of services and
the condition of cleanliness at hotels, onboard vessels etc., or for
any transportation delay, including but not limited to liability for
inconvenience, shortened vacation time or additional expenses. E.F.A.
and/or their agents declare all tickets, vouchers, and coupons issued
by them and all arrangements for transport, accommodations made by them
are made upon the express conditions that they shall not be liable for
any accident, injury, property damage or personal loss in connection
with any travel service or resulting directly or indirectly from any
occurrences or conditions beyond its control, including, but not limited
to, acts of God, acts of terrorism, defects in vehicles, breakdown in
equipment, strikes, theft, delay, cancellation, changes in itinerary
or schedules, or through the act of default of any company or person
engaged in conveying the client or carrying out the arrangements of
the tour or otherwise in connection therewith or of any hotel proprietor
or employee. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the
client. The right is retained to decline, accept or retain any person
as member of the tour or to cancel or alter the tour. The full or partial
payment for a reservation constitutes consent to all provisions of the
conditions and general information contained on this website . The terms
under which clients agree to use the services contained on this website
can not be changed or amended except in writing signed by an authorized
officer of E.F.A.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
E.F.A. strongly recommends that all clients insure their vacation against
unexpected expenses incurred as a result of damage, or theft of luggage
or personal belongings, or for personal injury, accident or illness.
It is important for your own self interest and protection that you make
certain you have adequate insurance. Check with your insurance agent
or travel agent for additional coverage.
PASSPORTS AND VISAS:
Each client is responsible for securing a valid passport and visa when
required. E.F.A. assumes no responsibility for non passage due to lack
of, improper or expired visas or passports. Clients must possess a valid
passport with an expiration date of at least 6 months after scheduled
departure from the U.K.
Where
a place cannot be offered due to the cancellation of the course, or
insuffcient places on the course being available the companz will try
to offer an alternative course of similar value. If the alternative
course is not acceptable, a full refund of fees will be made to the
student.
Any complaints and/or disputes arising hereunder will be settled by
a competent court of law in Torquay, Devon, UK.
